Virtual Worlds Forum
I’ve finally had the chance to take a long, hard look at the Virtual Worlds Forum, an economic and business focussed event taking place in London during London Games Week at the end of October. I can personally attest that Sasha Frieze, the event’s organiser, is a driven and determined woman; she’s put together a phenomenal and outward-looking event which aims to draw away the gauzy curtain of confusion and expose the raw underbelly of the potential of virtual worlds for the many many stakeholders interested in getting involved in them.
From the site:
Europe’s first pan-European virtual worlds conference will create a genuine meeting place for brands and corporations, virtual worlds and the converging games, entertainment and business spaces.
The speakers already signed up are world class. Check out the conference programme and immerse yourself in some of the great words from Mike Butcher at the official blog.
In the interest of full disclosure, I’m on the Advisory Board of this conference, but that’s just involved a few brainstorming sessions and lots of nods at the preliminary conference schedules
