Research and Ethics

Many many apologies to those who turned up yesterday at the Social Sim Research Lab in Second Life to take part in the virtual world research ethics discussion. I was hampered by no internet (in the centre of London?!) and later log on issues. The event will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

In the meantime, here’s the blurb to whet your appetites again:

Ethics and Internet Research

Time and place: 12.30 pm UK time, Monday June 18th in Second Life

For our June meeting, Aleks Krotoski will lead a discussion on the theme of ‘Ethics in Online/Social World research’. We are meeting at Aleks’ place in Second Life (social simulation research lab – there are chairs!). Please dust off your SL avatar, and put that date in your diary.     i make a survey on and about SL for my university studies (Master 2) and i’m very interessed about another meeting on Research and Ethics.

    Do you organize another meeting on Social sim in Second Life ?

  2. Hey mathieu – there will be another meeting soon; I’ve been under deadlines lately so have sadly neglected to reschedule! i’ll announce it here when we’ve got a final date and time. In the meantime, I’m happy to discuss asynchronously either here or at a dot krotoski at surrey dot ac dot uk
